Sat, 10 May 2025 11:30 – 15:30

Join us at The Turner House gallery in Penarth for this second event where photography enthusiasts come together to discuss and appreciate the art of photobooks and self-publishing in photography. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just starting out, this event is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of photobooks and hear from those who have published their work.

This second event welcomes photographer, writer and publisher PHIL COPE who will discuss the rich history of collaboration between photographers and poets in Wales and further afield. And professional photographer MARC WILSON will discuss collaboration on his stunning ‘REMNANTS’ title, his long-running and more recent work on Ukraine, and his approach to long-term documentary photography projects released in photobook form through his two&two press imprint.

There are slightly fewer (30) tickets available for this event due to a scheduled exhibition installation in part of the gallery space. Doors open for this free event at 11am and the first talk will start 11.30am. Doors open for Each talk will last up to 45 minutes with a Q&A, after which a slection of books by both guest speakers will be available to purchase.

This event will also see the launch of issue #014 of Offline Journal. This new issue marks 7 years of Offline and explores the theme of ‘COLLABORATION’, with numerous articles highlighting work by photographers based in Wales. Alongside Offline Journal, a special 16-page Offline Essay supplement (the 8th in the series) will be available on the day – ‘The Shadow of a Shadow: photography and poetry’ – by Phil Cope.
