Permanent Display
‘Turner House Through the Years’ is a permanent display located in Turner House which documents the history of the building and the artworks that used to hang there.
As you walk from the ground floor to the upstairs gallery you will be able to read about the man who created the building, James Pyke Thompson, why it was brought to life, and it’s role as a cultural hub for over 130 years.
This display contains photographs, prints and reproductions of artworks in the Original Pyke Thompson collection. There is also an info archive with items from the Pyke Thompson collection which attendees can browse at their leisure via our interactive digital display.
This display was curated by Penarth Town Council in partnership with Amgueddfa Cymru
PLEASE NOTE: Physical opening is subject to coronavirus regulations. There are no original artworks included as part of this exhibition. Due to the nature of the building, this display is only partially accessible.
