30th Jan – 2nd Feb
(Evening Reception 29th Jan 6-8pm)
Featuring new work by year 8 Art and Design students at Stanwell School
The natural world has provided a constant source of inspiration for artists throughout history. Biomorphic artworks reference living forms such as plants and find an expressive visual language through abstraction.
This exhibition will show work from Year 8 Art and Design pupils and will include drawing, photography and collagraph prints. Pupils have explored biodiversity through drawing plants, focusing on shape, form and line. These drawings have acted as a catalyst to translate their visual recording into abstraction culminating in a selection of collagraph prints. These prints are created with expressive colour, aiming to celebrate the vivid and diverse world of plants.
